LET ME INTRODUCE
Usha
Ursula Persaud
After a year-long journey around the world in search of holistic medical treatment methods, I studied and worked in Munich. In this time I became a co-founder of the Yoga-Forum Munich and started, besides my Holistic Physiotherapy Practice, to teach many seminars and on-going classes and courses in various institutions.
in 1989 I came to Trinidad (Caribbean) to work and settled 1994 in Tobago where I developed my own Holistic Health Clinic offering Holistic Body Work and Yoga-Therapy. I also became a co-founder and teacher for the "Healing-with Horses" Foundation, Tobago.
I have lived and worked in Trinidad and Tobago for 33 years of my life, am married, have adopted two children from Guyana, and have lived permanently in Guyana since 2023.
Every summer I am offering, in collaboration with Dr. Agnes Kaiser Rekkas professional-development seminars in Germany.

My Professional Development
Even during my physiotherapy training (in Berlin), I always lacked the key to the "big picture." The symptomatic or local treatment of "diseased areas" didn't satisfy me. I was looking for the connections, for the "behind it," for the superstructure.
My search led me to India in 1979, where I realized that I would find the connections in the traditional medicine of Ayurveda (the science of living fully) and in traditional Hatha Yoga.
When I returned to Munich in 1980, I found Prof. Dr. R. Lobo, himself from the school of B.K.S. Lyengar. He offered teacher training in classical Hatha Yoga, with a background in Ayurveda, leading to a five-year qualification as a "Yoga Teacher in Adult Education." Furthermore, in a joint venture program with the Ayurvedic universities in Poona and Mumbai, he developed advanced training in the social sector in Germany with the professional title of "Educator for Psychosomatic Health Education" (three years). I completed both training programs there.
My further development of therapeutic work, using the Marma points (nodal points/pressure points) known in Ayurveda, became an applied, holistic treatment method, and the knowledge from yoga and Ayurveda became "Yoga and Breath Therapy," and thus psychosomatics became my field.
In addition to therapeutic work in my own practice, from 1980 to 1989 in Germany and from 1990 to 2019 in my own practice and institutions in Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean), I have led many seminars and training groups.
Later, I further deepened my knowledge in the energetic aspects of healing with a three-year training and qualification as a "Healer Practitioner," recognized in England under the "Confederation of Healing Organizations."

My Motivation
Even during my physiotherapy studies, I lacked the key to the "bigger picture." Symptomatic treatment methods remained unsatisfactory for me, so I began searching for deeper connections.
My Values
Responding to a person's needs, feelings, and signals with empathy and awareness, being emotionally present, listening openly without judging or evaluating.
